Meet The Team

Owner & Behaviorist
Adam Cross
My whole life I always found work that gave my life meaning, I always wanted to work with animals as a zoologist. Understanding body language of other species, including people. I found it fascinating how the relationships between dogs and humans work. I have been working with dogs for almost 10 years and have a background in human behavior psychology, I take a unique and positive approach to working with you and your pet as we build a community of people to help others along the way.

Owner & Groomer
Elizabeth Cross
I have been working in the animal industry since I was 17 years old. My first job was working as a kennel technician while still in high school. I loved every second of it and it became my dream to own my own daycare and boarding facility. I have been grooming since 2015. I specialize in working with the more timid, shy, and unsure dogs. I focus on positive reinforcement and redirecting unsure behaviors. I have worked to rehabilitate many dogs that once were too scared or aggressive to be groomed.

Lead Kennel Tech
Maggie Moore
I've always been a dog person. To the point where the running joke in the family is that I was a dog in a previous life. I have worked professionally in daycares for over 10 years. I have also worked with dogs in almost every other capacity for around 20 years now. I look forward to meeting you and your pups and bringing some extra fun to their lives either in daycare or over their boarding stay.

General Manager
Devyn T.
Growing up in a family that fostered both dogs and cats, I have always been part of a pack. Throughout my life I have trained basic obedience and dedicated my teen years dedicated to fear reactivity and desensitization training. I have been part of the daycare and boarding industry for 3 years now, and couldn't enjoy it more. At home I have 2 cats who are fully obedience trained and a snake named Mr. Noodles. You may find me up at the desk or out in the yards here at GFL, ensuring your pup is enjoying their stay from start to finish!

Kennel Technician
Megan B.
I have been working professionally with dogs for over 13 years! During the course of my work I have gained experience as a groomer, trainer, and veterinary assistant, as well as kennel and daycare work. I am a lifelong Oregonian and been actively involved in rescue and rehab with local organizations. My personal zoo, as I like to call it, includes dogs, cats, lizards, and a pair of axolotls. I am honored to care for your pets and to get to know them personally!

Kennel Manager
Clara S.
I've been working with dogs professionally since 2016 and have been a happy member of the GFL crew since August 2024. Though I've never owned a pup of my own (shameless cat-person here!), I've had a strong passion for all animals since childhood and feel a certain connection with dogs. I'm always seeking to understand and learn more about dog behavior, psychology, and body language. When I'm with your beloved companions, I prioritize safety, balance, and fun!

Reception, Kennel Tech & Maintenance
Cory B.
Hi! I'm Cory, I come to the Grand Fur lodge bringing a wide variety of experience and skills to help accommodate the facility as well as the needs of your pups. I have a love for cattle dogs and a decade worth of experience with building equipment for livestock. I am never short a story working in reception, but overall I strive to assist anywhere around the kennel in any way I can.

Kennel Technician
Astra A.
I grew up on what some may call a "backyard farm." There hasn't been a day in my life that isn't filled with animals, including but not limited to; dogs, cats, goats, bunnies, and sugar gliders. I personally own one cat, named Sunny, and am excited to begin my career journey with GFL. As a PCC student, psychology (both of humans and dogs) is a huge interest of mine, and I am eager to learn as much as I can about your pups to help them succeed!

Reception
Heidi Cross
As the mother of the Grand Fur Lodge's owner and groomer, Elizabeth, I have been honored to be an integral part of her journey and passion as she follows her dreams. You can find me behind the desk as one of the grand fur lodges secret weapons to its success, sharing a similar passion for dogs as my daughter and her husband.

Kennel Tech & Trainer (In Training)
A.J M.
Hello, my name is AJ and I don’t remember a day in my life where I didn’t have at least 1 dog around. I grew up raising a variety of animals and dogs, but pitbulls and retrievers will always have a special place in my heart. When I was little I used to tell everyone I was going to be a veterinarian and work with dogs when I grow up, and I am so greatful to have the opportunity to work with you and your pups at GFL. You can find me in one of the yards practicing skills and working with the dogs or assisting throughout the kennel space.

Kennel Technician
Ciarra J.
Hello my name is Ciara, my passion for animals has been there for as long as I can remember. At a young age I would spend my time teaching our family dog basic commands and studying animal body language. I have a degree in Animal Sciences and have worked with dogs professionally for over two years. I am the type who is always ready to learn new skills and adapt to specific needs within the work place. At home my fur babies (or not so fur babies) include a dog, a cat, and a leopard gecko who is 13! I am ecstatic to get to know you and your beloved dog on a personal level while maintaining a safe and fun environment.

Ambassador
Floki
Floki is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever trained to work alongside staff and trainers to help with daycare or boarding. He helps our trainers redirect and build confidence as needed while rehabilitating their reactivity.
His owner is grooming specialist Elizabeth. He is a working line retriever who has a lot of confidence and energy. Working here for him isn't just for fun, it's a requirement to his needs.
When not at work he enjoys duck hunting and playing ball. His favorite foods are whipped cream or duck (but he will eat almost anything)

Ambassador
